A start with buses in the eastern part of the DRC, the Kivu's. Lack of surfaced roads and the insecurity of the region makes that large buses are very rare. Most transport is by (Toyota Hiace) minibus and by boat on Lake Kivu, between Goma and Bukavu. But of course there are a few surprises.
