The first batch of DAF TB2105 city buses for NYS had the exit door in front of the front axle. All later buses had the exit door between the axles. Eight buses were noted in this batch: GKL018, 019, 020, 029, 030, 037, 038 and 039. They were transferred to NBS in 1988 and four were later seen with registrations KZG035, KZG037, KZG059 and KZG068.
The picture above nicely illustrates the abundance of personnel with NYS: a driver, a guard at each door and, not visible, two conductors. One achievement of NYS was that it made passenegrs queu! |
