Rwanda -General information
Volcano is one of the oldest regional operators in Rwanda, but until recently only used Toyota Coaster buses, with which it also operated to Bujumbura in Burundi. But beginning of 2016 the company won an important contract for transport services for the African socker games in Rwanda, for which it bought a fleet of modern Hyundai Universe Express Noble coaches. After the games finished Volcano started using them on Kigali-Bujumbura and Kigali-Kampala services. Mid 2016 the Bujumbura service had to be (temporarily?) suspended because of the problems in Burundi.
