AEC Routemaster -Park Royal

In 1988, 40 Routemasters were exported to Sri Lanka by London Transport as part of a development aid project. In London, they were fitted with large sliding windows before shipment. Most buses only served in Sri Lanka for a short time. A small number remained in service longer. In 2018, 30 years after export to Sri Lanka, the former RM2158, built in 1965, was still in service in Kandy.
