Apart from the purpose built large buses Niger also has its share of artisanle buses on truck chassis, with open bodywork made of wood, without windows, of Peugeot 404 pick-ups and Landrovers in the more remote areas. Trucks with loads of people and goods are a common sight. Taxis (in 1994 Peugeot 504, white with a red roof) are of course also common. In Agadez small tricycles are used. And motortaxis are common.
