Eurobus

![]() Volvo -Eurobus Willie Basson, the owner of the company, was a designer at Neulux and with the financial help of De Haans coachbuilders started Eurobus. He designed the body himself and build a solid wood scale model of his design, the Eurostar SHD. (SHD - Single High Deck). After the model was shown to Elwierda they bought the first Eurobus, which was delivered to early in 1996. In total Elwierda bought seven Eurobus coaches, five based on Volvo B12 and two on Volvo B10 chassis. Eurobus built around 15 coaches in total before the company was closed down by De Haans due to financial difficulties. After the company was closed, Willie Basson went to De Haans. They made small changes to the Eurobus front end design and used it on the De Haans bodies (information/text adapted from Elwierda).
