Durban has its own open top bus tour. In 2014/2015 this consists of a three hour tour along the beach front an through the city. Two secondhand Mercedes-Benz O305 -BUSAF double deckers are used on this tour. They belong to "Ethekwini City Fleet". The tour is one complete trip without intermediary stops.

Older pictures on a tourism site show two Leyland open top doubledeckers on what is then described as a beachfront tour between Bue Lagoon in the north and Waterfront point in the south, with 12 intermediary stops and a half-hour frequency. It appears the buses were worn out by 2005. They were replaced by the two Mercedes-benz O305 -BUSAF vehicles. In 2011 those were in a white livery with stripes in the colours of the South African flag, in 2014/2015 they are blue and orange.
