In 1995 another, and last, batch of 20 Ikarus 253 were put into service, bringing the total to 70. Number 5706 had been assigned to an Ikarus 256.70 of the series 5650-5679. Possibly this vehicle was recovered or repaired laer than the other vehicles of that series remaning after the war. The 5707-5726 were technically the same as the previous Ikarus Alfa buses with a DAF LT210 engine and Voith Diwa 864 gearbox. But there were some differences too: this last batch had a two-leaf folding central door and a different type of roof-mounted air-conditioning. Of this series too some buses were repainted into the new white livery.
