Het Stadsgewest Haaglanden was de instantie die in 2012 voor het eerst bus-, tram- en lightraildiensten aanbesteedde. HTM, een naamloze vennootschap, was sinds 1887 de exploitant. HTM startte een gezamenlijke samenwerking met busmaatschappij Qbuzz, genaamd HTMbuzz. Zij wonnen de aanbesteding en exploiteerden van 9 december 2012 tot en met 7 december 2019 de busdiensten in Den Haag. HTMbuzz ging verder met het grootste deel van de bestaande HTM-busvloot: MAN Lion’s City CNG 1013-1045 (2009), 1046-1090 (2009) en 1091 -1115 (2011). De enige verandering aan de bussen was het gebruik van het HTMbuzz-logo. Tijdens de concessie hebben er geen wijzigingen aan de vloot plaatsgevonden. HTM hield zelf de bussen 1001-1012 in dienst voor tramvervangingsdiensten. Bussen 1116-1135 waren overtollig en kwamen niet in dienst. Aan het eind van de concessie gingen alle bussen terug naar de HTM.

The “Stadsgewest Haaglanden” (City Region The Hague) was the authority that tendered bus, tram and light rail services for the first time in 2012. HTM, a limited company, was the long-time operator, since 1887. HTM started a joint venture with bus company Qbuzz, called HTMbuzz. They won the tender and operated bus services in The Hague from 9 December 2012 to 7 December 2019. HTMbuzz continued with most of the existing HTM bus fleet: MAN Lion’s City CNG 1013-1045 (2009), 1046-1090 (2009) and 1091-1115 (2011). The only change on the buses was the use of the HTMbuzz logo. No changes to the fleet took place during the concession. HTM itself retained buses 1001-1012 for tram replacement services. Buses 1116-1135 were surplus and did not enter service. At the end of the concession all buses returned to HTM.
