Mellor at Busworld 2023

Mellor’s production facility is based in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. The company was created in 1967 and concentrated on the construction of small buses. With the growing demand for electric buses, Mellor decided to enter this market. Its first electric buses were delivered end of 2022 and some 30 were put into service until the end of 2023. The Sigma range is available in 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12-meter versions. In Brussels, three vehicles were presented, the 7, 9 and 12-meter variants. Though the buses are presented as produced in the UK, they are identical (at least externally) to the buses built by Wisdom in China (see the Wisdom website).
