CLICK ON THE SMALL PICTURES TO THE LEFT TO SEE SERIES OF BUSES Comprehensive Multiple Transport Company PLC (CMTC) was established in 2005 to play the role of both a holding company and an operator. Shortly after its establishment, CMTC proceeded to acquire four other operators (Asia Transport Co, Al-Thilal, Al Tawfiq and Tell), of whom Asia Transport was the larges, together with four wholly-owned subsidiaries. Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) owns 20% of Autobus. In 2008 there were 42 routes, 32 of which begin and end within In May 2010, City Bus Group of Kuwait aquired 51% of CMTC and will expand and modernize fleet and system. In 2010 116 new Yutong buses were put into service, initially in City Bus' white and red livery, but soon repainted in to the Autobus blue and white livery. On a trial basis Asia Transport Co has operated five Mercedes-Benz Citaro (new 2003). None of those were seen in service with Autobus in 2009.
